Automatic Barrier and a couple of magnetic loops is a device for controlling an entrance gateway of a car park area.
The front panel of the station is composed by a ticket-request button, a slot from which the ticket is issued, an LCD display (20×2 char) indicating the operations which are to be carried out and an RFID 125kHz reader and a 2D scanner for subscription tickets as optional.
The driver must approach the station by car, press the illuminated button and take the ticket issued to activate the opening of the barrier.
The ticket issued from the station can be easily configured to print customer information, parking instructions, etc; the 2D barcode contains all the necessary information to support parking management (entry time and date, grace time, type of ticket/pass, etc).
The client, before exit, can pay for the stay by presenting the ticket at the operator checkpoint. The amount to be paid is calculated based on the date and time of entrance indicated on the ticket. Once the payment is made the client shall receive a valid ticket for exiting.
